Along with Hicks(Cam Gigandet), a family friend and local sheriff, he follows a lead that takes them to a vampire reservation.
Still, Monsignor Orelas(Christopher Plummer) forbids him from going to the rescue, on the off chance there might be a toilet that needs cleaning, but the priest goes anyway. But then news reaches a former warrior priest(Paul Bettany), reduced to manual labor, of a vampire attack and his niece Lucy(Lily Collins) being taken captive. In the future, the humans have won a decisive war against the vampires, thus ensuring humanity will be safe from any more teen vampire movies, but at a great cost, rendering most of the planet a vast wasteland.
