Unlike Far Cry Primal some of these games are free, which means they do not require quests and missions in order to progress into the game.

In the case of freebuilding, games such as 7 Days to Die, Ark Survival Evolved, Don’t Starve, or RUST give you the ability to construct a secure base by building boards and stone walls, setting up traps, and more. Other games, on the other hand, allow you to build your own base wherever and whenever you want. In most cases, games like Far Cry Primal allow you to put up a base, or join one as in the case of Far Cry 3. Some games combine horror and survival in one like DayZ, Dying Light, The Forest, and many others. In order to survive, you will need to arm yourself with ammunition, medical kit, and other equipment.
These are games like Don’t Starve, and Ark Survival Evolved where you’ll have to hunt, feed yourself, and build a camp so you do not succumb to the cold, die of hunger or get attacked by predators. Most of the games we’ve selected are based on “character survival”.
